  1. Tenth Gen, I hate to say it, but you've skewed your own results right out of the gate by leaving Romney off your ballot.

Now, as to the question you posed at Craw's place: IMO the Paul supporters -- otherwise known as "Paulbots" -- are absolute Energizer Bunnies when it comes to promoting their cult leader. They scour the web looking for things they can affect by their input, and that gives them a disproportionate presence in the early stages of elections. But ONLY in the early stages, while most people aren't yet paying much attention to politics, in contrast to us political junkies.

Once the rest of the country tunes in, Paul vanishes back into obscurity, every time, That's the historical record, and there's absolutely no reason to think this time will be any different.

  2. FYI, I'm about to cast my vote. I haven't done it yet, and haven't seen the results.

I think Romney's going to win. He's not on your ballot.

My preferences are Santorum and Bachmann. But I don't think either will actually take Iowa.

Given those conditions -- and since Romney's not there -- I'm actually going to vote for my FAVORITE candidate, as opposed to who I think will actually win, and that's Bachmann.

    Here goes!

  3. Okay, notice how that one vote affected your returns.

Romney -- whom I think is actually going to win -- wasn't there, so I voted for Bachmann. Had I voted instead for my other preferred candidate -- Santorum -- he'd actually be tied with Paul for first place.

Again, sorry to say, leaving Romney off has badly skewed your results.

  4. Tenth,

Don't ya hate smartass conservatives from California?

You know he's spot on with his analysis though.

  5. BrianR,

    Welcome.

It's funny how the subconscious works. When I created this poll, I thought I'm leaving somebody out. But I couldn't figure out who. I am totally anti-Romney. I'd be tickled if he comes in third.

Dude, cut me some slack! Leftifornia wasn't a commie hangout when I moved here.

  7. Tenth Gen... your subconcious at work, it seems!

Yeah, I'm not wild about Romney, either. Less than "not wild". Even less than THAT!

  8. Brian,
You forgot to close the door after you got there. The fruits and nuts snuck in after you.
