Thanksgiving is a day that is set aside for Americans to thank God for what we have and, take notice of how fortunate we are to be Americans.
Obama spent a lifetime being taught that America should be damned by God in his marxist upbringing and liberation theology church.
There is a reason why America is the only country that has this holiday and, a million more reasons why people have come here from all over the planet to take part in it.
Sepp writes: Obama spent a lifetime being taught that America should be damned by God in his marxist upbringing and liberation theology church.
Sepp- how many times must I tell you what your English teacher tried to tell you: there is a difference between fact and opinion?
Just this Wednesday, my wife and I were tutoring at our local public school as we do each Wednesday. My wife's task was to help a 7th grade student learn to distinguish fact from opinion. At the end of the 20 minute lesson, she 'got it.'
Would you like to meet in the school library next Wednesday and I'll help you distinguish fact from opinion? I can use the same 7th grade materials that my wife used.
CS- I'd like to help you, too, but we'll have to do it through distance learning. Your deficiency [well, one of your deficiencies] is that you slept through your history classes.
I'd rather help you on your own blog, but I'm not permitted to post there. So, Tenth, could I use your blog to help educate CS in world history?
How could you help CS in World History? You don't seem to know any.
As for the difference between fact and opinion, you don't know that subject, either. Can you provide proof (using facts) that Obama didn't grow up thinking America should be damned by God? And saying he wasn't listening to the sermon isn't using facts, that's called making excuses.
What should I play you for, then? You are obviously a fool.
Obama spent 20 years in a church that spewed hate on America. That is a fact. He spent his early years in a foreign country, (Indonesia), where he was taught Marxism and Islamism, both anti-American philosophies.
My degree is in history and I am a voracious reader of the same. You have never won and are not likely to ever win a dispute over history with me. If Tenth gives you his leave I would love to see you compare and contrast the French Revolution with the American Revolution.
"The Barack Obama education story is as eventful as it gets in his youthful years. Two countries had a hand in the early and final years of Barack Obama's Education - Indonesia and the United States. Following his parents' divorce in 1964, Barack Obama and his mother (who later married Indonesian student, Lolo Soetoro) left Hawaii and moved to the island nation of Indonesia in 1967."
Hey TGP- I would like to formally invite you to comment on a new post that will be up on my blog in a few hours. As a former Marine, your input would be greatly appreciated
Muddy, I'm sure you're aware that Obama's Grandparents, mother, father and stepfather were all well known marxists as well as his "uncle Frank" Marshal Davis and, then you can look at his list of friends who most are admitted marxists. He also stated in his autobiography that he sought out marxists to associate with in college.
You've known that and, trying to play the ignorant card at this point is funny to watch.
What was the title of the "God damn America" sermon Muddy? "The audacity of hope".
Where else have we heard that title used?
Those aren't oppinions, they're facts.
In my oppinion, liberals shouldn't be trying to teach "fact or oppinion" to kids since you obviously see your delusions as "facts".
Suck it up and eat your crow. Obama is everything you said he wasn't.
Come on - at least give me a difficult one - your ignorance in all things historical is making this too easy. From your favorite source - Wikipedia and the article on the French Revolution:
"During the Reign of Terror, extreme efforts of de-Christianization ensued, including the imprisonment and massacre of priests and destruction of churches and religious images throughout France. An effort was made to replace the Catholic Church altogether, with civic festivals replacing religious ones. The establishment of the Cult of Reason was the final step of radical de-Christianization."
Damn - sounds like a modern-day Democrat (Socialist, Progressive, Liberal, whatever).
You have to be pretty dense to have not known that. It's pretty much in every history book.
CS, The left has been into history revisionism for quite some time so, the history book you learned from is obsolete by their standards (lib standards?) which dictate that any unwanted or, unpleasant facts can be replaced with happier facts or, simply omitted.
Try talking to a lib about socialism or, communism's filthy history. With all the facts and photos in front of them, they'll deny what they're own eyes are seeing.
CS- you proved nothing. What did 'God' have to do with the French Revolution? And in accordance, what did 'God' have to do with the American Revolution?
Surely you are not suggesting, are you CS, that 'God' cheered for a certain 'group' of people as in a football game???
If you are suggesting that a Deity played some role in the outcome of some historical event, then you are no historian.
Tenth- I hate to deflate you balloon, but you seemed to have skirted the question I asked. Perhaps you were unaware of what you wrote. Let me refresh your memory. Here is your statement:
He spent his early years in a foreign country, (Indonesia), where he was taught Marxism and Islamism, both anti-American philosophies.
Are you so dense that you can't see you are making our argument for us? Obama, your idol, has spent his whole life, at least up until halfway through his Presidential campaign, being indoctrinated against America. Both of the statements you made above are facts. However, in statement 2, you left out the word "liberation". He was a member of a black liberation theology church FOR TWENTY YEARS.
As for Marxism, investigative journalist Cliff Kincaid and Herbert Romerstein, a former investigator with the U.S. House Committee on Un-American Activities, presented evidence Obama was mentored, while attending high school in Hawaii, by Frank Marshall Davis, an African-American poet and journalist who was also a CPUSA member. Davis was a Marxist, and he taught Obama all about it.
Actually muddy, BOTH statements are true. But... Trying to paint every black christian church into being the same as Rev Wright's church is NOT a fact and, you're just plain ignorant if you believe that.
Unless of course you harbor that racist view that all blacks are the same, think the same, act the same and, do the same...then I can understand why you would equate Rev Wright's version of James Cone's black liberation theology and assume that "they're all doing it".
I do however enjoy reading your double standards for everything muddy.
Since Rev Wright's sermons center around black power are in your oppinion just another black christian church, are the views of those "white power" churches that kkk members attend more or, less racist than Wright's?
I guess that the difference lays in that your deaf and blind president managed to attend for 20+ years and was too stupid to have noticed thus, worthy of your excuse making.
Muddy loves to insist that Obama isn't a marxist...even though he seems to personally know and associate with the most prominent ones and, even stick a few into his administration...Jones, Dunn, Sunstein etc.
I associate with many motorcycle clubs and, happen to know 100's of club members in the U.S and Europe. People who aren't associated in these groups don't know them since it's a pretty closed society. Communists and socialist groups are the same way meaning, that you have to be a part of them to know the people within them.
If you're not a club member, you might know a few bikers but, not nearly as many.
If you're a marxist, you'll know many other marxists...as Obama does.
His associations with those folks aren't just accidental. They've been cultivated over years of being a part of those circles.
The point is now and always has been that the Americans who founded our country were uniformly Christians and their Christian faith influenced the way they conducted the American Revolution, the laws they wrote, and the government they produced. To call it a magnificent work of God isn't a stretch.
However the French Revolution was conducted by a Godless group of people who believed in man's own ability to reason. They disdained Christianity and they became vicious animals. The French Revolution resulted in barbaric tyranny while the American Revolution produced the greatest country the world has ever seen.
The difference between the two was that Christians were in charge in one and Liberals ran the other. You can see the same pattern virtually anywhere. The greatest murders in history are all famous Liberals (Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Tito, Mussolini, etc.).
As you yourself pointed out, as soon as you (or people like you) are in charge we're all going to get shuffled off to the tundra.
CS, To a liberal, Mao, Tito, Stalin, Hitler and, Pol-Pot...they were just doing what they had to do.
Screw the fact that millions were murdered because of personal oppinions or, even suspected oppinions, those "heroes" were creating a perfect society and, had no choice but to eliminate those who stood in front of "progress".
If you can't kill em all, ship them away someplace where their oppinions won't matter nor, contaminate others!
Liberals are like neo-nazis. They're all certain that if they get the government they want, they'll be exempted from the force it uses to keep people in line when in fact most of them would be the first to find themselves choking on gas or, digging the pit they'll be lining up in front of.
I wonder how they'd feel about "the government just doing what it has to do" then?
If you can't make logical statements and support your statements with facts, I'll be forced to delete your comments. I am so tired of having this discussion with you.
Why does Sepp have to repeat seventh grade?
Five events where God intervened in human history:
1) Adam and Eve 2) Noah and the Ark 3) Moses and the Red Sea 4) Sodom and Gomorrah 5) The birth of Jesus
And that's only using one reference. Shall I go on?
Tenth answered the question you asked me and that was a superb answer. However I did not say nor did I imply that God intervened in the American Revolution - though many of the participants including George Washington were convinced that God had intervened. George Washington managed to sneak his army away right under the nose of the British twice for example.
However, my specific evidence to you was that our Founding Fathers were devoted Christians, they spoke openly of their faith, and that our founding documents are based on Christianity or Christian principles.
The point that I was making (that appears to have gone right over your head twice now) is that the French Revolutionaries thought exactly like you and their revolution was barbaric and resulted in tyranny. Thousands of French people were murdered by their government. But that's what liberals do.
Don't obfuscate the argument. The difference between the American Revolution and the French Revolution was that one was conducted by Christians based on their principles while the other was prosecuted by Atheists based on their principles (or lack there of).
That was my point and it remains valid. Put more succinctly George Washington was a Christian and his leadership was guided by his faith. Maximilien Robespierre was a creature of the "Enlightenment" and he rejected Christianity and his policies reflected that.
Like you Robespierre thought he was smarter than everyone else and he had no moral compass. The results were predictable.
George Washington was a Christian and his leadership was guided by his faith.
Tell us, history major, was British General Thomas Gage, commander of the British forces in North America, guided by his Anglican Christian faith?
For that matter, we may wonder why General Robert E. Lee was not victorious over General Ulysses Grant. Lee was Episcopalian but Grant was not a member of the church.
Once again - we are specifically talking about the difference between the American Revolution and the French Revolution - that was the topic, that is what you challenged me on. We are not speaking to divine intervention.
Once you put on your big-boy pants and admit you were wrong, we can move on to another subject.
The Americans who rose up, fought in, and subsequently devised a government for themselves were guided by Christian principles while the leaders of the French Revolution believed they were "enlightened" and were anti-Christian.
Christian men produced the greatest nation in world history - Atheists in France can make no such claim.
Tenth,
ReplyDeleteUngrateful bastard.
What a bullshit artist! I used my TV brick again.
You guys seem surprised by this.

Start a revolution against God and you get France.
The Founding Fathers got immediate and conclusive proof that they did it right when France convulsed in violence.

ReplyDeleteCan YOU provide facts that he did? Of course not. Why should anyone be tasked with proving such an inane statement is true or false?
How about this one: Did Hitler believe that God directed him to kill the Jews?
Please, Tenth, don't play me for a fool.
What should I play you for, then? You are obviously a fool.
ReplyDeleteObama spent 20 years in a church that spewed hate on America. That is a fact. He spent his early years in a foreign country, (Indonesia), where he was taught Marxism and Islamism, both anti-American philosophies.

ReplyDeleteCorrespondence school, CS?
Tell me, CS, what historical data can you offer to us that makes this sentence true:
Start a revolution against God and you get France.

President Obama- A 12 year old girl was shot last night in Roseland. Seems that community may need some more organizing.
