Standards? We don't need no stinkin' standards.

So, let me get this straight.  Rush Limbaugh called a professional college student (read societal leech) a slut.  And the liberal lefties are going crazier over it?  But when Bill Maher (turn head to spit) or David Letterman use that word or worse to label a conservative woman, the left-wing moonbats are mum?  I'd really like to hear a left wing explanation of this double standard, but since lefties have no moral courage, they'll just throw crap all over and walk away.

How 'bout it, Mud?  Gonna lose your marbles over your moonbat idol's use of derogatory name calling?  I sincerely doubt it, you fraud.

(Thanks Eagle One)

  1. TGP- Contradiction is O.K. in this circumstance. You didn't get the memo. When it pertains to a comedian who has a team of 3 writers to ensure that he is witty, calling a VP candidate a cunt. That's O.K.

  2. Tenth,

As Chris Plante likes to say "If it weren't for double standards, Liberals would have no standards at all."

  3. Limbaugh is an entertainer period. The only difference between he and Maher is venue.

Same topics, different sides, different standard.

  4. High-fives all around the Posse circle.

Sorry Tenth and Posse members, but I can't play any more blogging games. I'll let that fun for you.

Rather my wife and I and 30 members of our neighborhood team are studying the reelection plan [for Ohio] for President Obama. It is a massively intricate, multifaceted plan to keep Ohio blue.

So I'll let you punks play until dark, but I've got homework to do.

    1. Yeah right, whatever.

Good luck meathead. America hates YOUR president and if he was to run on his record, without 24/7 libtard lapdog media coverage, Obutthole is done.

Time to send Chicago's trash BACK to them in November.

  5. Lesson # 1

NEVER talk about Obama's record but, instead focus on what he's going to do in the future!

    Wash, rinse, repeat. repeat. repeat.

"It is a massively intricate, multifaceted plan to keep Ohio blue."

More dead voters? Or, will all 30 of you be voting as Mickey Mouse, Pop Eye and Donald Duck?

The funny thing is that if Obama was worth voting for, you wouldn't be so worried.

He ran with no resume in 2008. Now he has one and it ain't pretty.

  6. Hmmmm.......maybe somebody hasn't noticed how well the Obama stimulus plan has worked in the Toledo. (And many other places too.)

Sorry TGP, but your comparison isn't worth commenting on. And just recently, weren't you the one blogging about holding women up to different standards to men? (I would ask you though, what if your children were arguing a similar comparison?) And what would you do if your wife gave a speech to the P.T.A. and some 'ole bitches started spreading some pretty nasty rumors about her? And God help the poor boy who starts talking crap about one of your daughters because they refused to go out with him.

Re-watch the testimony and then explain again why it's OK to attack the messenger and not the message.

    1. Where did she talk about her own sex life?
    2. Where did she say she was not a virgin?
    3. If she's not a virgin, where did she say she started having sex in 6th grade?
    4. And if she has been sexually active since the sixth grade, where did she mention what kind of birth control she used,if any?
    5. And where does she mention how often she has sex?
    6. Is she a lesbian or straight?
    7. Is she Democrat or Republican?
    8. Georgetown University requires all students to carry health insurance, either the one offered by the University or private. Where did she say she was on the University plan?
    9. Where did she say the University plan was taxpayer funded?
    10. Where did she say she chose Georgetown because of the plan offered by the University?
    11. Where did she lie about the plan offered by Georgetown University?
    12. You and many of your posse write very far right blogs. You have been writing them for a while. Does that make you a professional "right-wing" activist and invalidate you to speak on political subjects?
    13. What is the average age for law students? Are any other college degrees required to enroll in law school?
    14. How does Rush Limbaugh know anything about Ms. Fluke's sex life?
    15. And why in the hell do some "persons" make up or repeat total lies about someone they don't know anything about?

    1. Jeff,

Come on, man. My point is neither of the tools mentioned (Maher and Limbaugh) should be using that language. But you lefties get irate over Rush using it, but give Maher a pass. I don't give either one a pass.

And if someone passed those types of rumors about my wife or daughters, they'd quickly learn to regret it.

I don't care about the rest of your comment. Remember when birth control and sexual habits were a private matter? Why don't we get back to that?

  7. Obama's stimulus package? Are you nuts? If anything, the tiny gains Toledo has seen is due to Chief Bell actually using some financial common sense instead of simply looting the coffers like his two liberal shitbag predecessors did.

The unemployment rate is down to 10% from 11%...big whoop-de-doo...boom times indeed!

And how about that lunar surface you call "streets"?

Sounds like somebody went with muddy to cheerleader camp last weekend.

  8. I personally think those on the left are use to hearing foul language from each other and when it comes from the right they are shocked, ha! I know from the occasional troll that comes to my site how they talk "F" this and "F" that just to mention one. I no longer pay attention as I did when I began my blogging. And as for the MSM they operate on a double standard as they are the soldiers in Obama's army--just a bunch of mindless Zombies lusting for conservative blood.

  9. This comment has been removed by the author.

  10. I'd punch Maher in the mouth and kick him in his runty ass for free.

  11. To all those who read Sepp's comments; do yourself a favor and do just a very little research. I swear the boy couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it. Here are the unemployment rates for Lucas County (Toledo):
    2011 01 10.9
    2011 02 10.5
    2011 03 9.7
    2011 04 9.3
    2011 05 9.5
    2011 06 10.5
    2011 07 10.5
    2011 08 10.0
    2011 09 9.6
    2011 10 9.7
    2011 11 8.5
    2011 12 8.4

And the latest rate available, for entire state of Ohio only, is 7.7%. The comparison rate may even be lower because of the influx of people returning to the job market due to an improving economy. And the new mayor is not the one who got two very large auto plants in Toledo operating at maximum capacity. If you've read Sepp's blog, you'd know the mayor has been spending a lot of time in China when he's not selling off city assets.

Now, about that Rush Limbaugh problem.
    - Bill Maher makes his living as a comedian
    - Rush Limbaugh makes his living as a radio talk show host

    - Sandra Fluke is a law student at Georgetown University
    - Sarah Palin is a (very wealthy) unemployed political speaker who ran for a national political office

Many bad things are said about politicians, both male and female. However, Mrs. Palin is known for saying nasties.
(Google the phrase "Watermelon Roll" and see what comes up.)

And Miss Fluke is not the one who opened debate about "private" matters regarding birth control. A Republican controlled committee of the United States House of Representatives is the party who held a hearing.

Maybe you should look at it this way. Would you buy auto insurance from a company that didn't offer glass coverage?

Have you heard of Bella Santorum? Do you agree that child should not have been given scarce medical care? If insurance companies were left to include only what they wanted, Bella Santorum's condition would most certainly not have been covered*. It's rather ironic that her father campaigns against the very thing that is keeping her alive.

    * Rick Santorum makes a lot of money lobbying, but no where near the amount needed to care for his daughter without insurance.

  12. Four Questions for Bill Maher

JAKE TAPPER: Bill, thanks for doing this. I just wanted to make sure that
as I cover this debate about appropriate language and such, I’m not
excluding any points you think should be made.

BILL MAHER: I don’t really know all the “points,” but as I said on my show
last Friday, I’m a pottymouth, not a misogynist.

TAPPER: So with all the criticism of Rush Limbaugh for his comments
about the Georgetown Law student, conservatives claim that there’s a
double standard, with President Obama, Democrats and the media far
more tolerant of offensive language when wielded by liberal or
progressive media figures against conservative women. Is that a fair
comparison? You have certainly used offensive words to describe some
    politicians you don’t like.

MAHER: I’m a comedian – not just a guy who says he is, like Rush, but
someone who – well, you saw me do stand-up last year in D.C. There’s a
big difference between just saying you’re a comedian and going out and
getting thousands of people to laugh hard for 90 minutes. And the one
I’m compared to most is Carlin, who also had these kind of problems.
Edgy is my brand – everyone wants that, but they say, “but never
go over the line.” It’s like telling Tom Brady, ‘Throw into coverage
40 times a game every game but never throw an interception.’”

TAPPER: How do you know when you’ve gone too far?

MAHER: I let the audience be the guide. The bit I did about Palin
using the word c—, one of the biggest laughs in my act, I did it all
over the country, not one person ever registered disapproval, and
believe me, audiences are not afraid to let you know. Because it was
a routine where that word came in at just the right moment. Context is
very important, and it’s also important to remember that stand-up
comedy is the final frontier of free speech. Still, I stopped doing
that routine, but I would like someone to replace that word if it’s so
awful with another one that has the same meaning for a person – not
just women, it’s a word you can and lots do (all the British, for
example) use for both sexes. It has a very specific meaning.

TAPPER: And that’s not comparable to what Limbaugh said about Sandra Fluke?

MAHER: To compare that to Rush is ridiculous – he went after a
civilian about very specific behavior, that was a lie, speaking for a
party that has systematically gone after women’s rights all year, on
the public airwaves. I used a rude word about a public figure who
gives as good as she gets, who’s called people “terrorist” and
“unAmerican.” Sarah Barracuda. The First Amendment was specifically
designed for citizens to insult politicians. Libel laws were written
to protect law students speaking out on political issues from getting
    called whores by Oxycontin addicts.

TAPPER: What about all the clips of you saying rather “edgy” things -
offensive to many people, no doubt – from your show on HBO, “Real

MAHER: Of course if you take out of context over 10 years snippets
inside comedy bits you can make anyone look bad – and sometimes, I
have been! Not perfect, but not misogyny. In general, this is an
obvious right wing attempt to dredge up some old shit about me to
deflect from their self-inflicted problems. They are the kings of
    false equivalencies.

And through it all, I have defended Rush’s right to stay on the air!
Not what he said, that was disgusting – but the right to not disappear
because people who don’t even listen to you don’t like what you said.
That really bothers me. I never hear Rush Limbaugh unless a guy in the
next truck at a stop light has it on; it would be arrogant for me to
say “he has to disappear” and deprive the people who do listen to him
of what they like. We all have different tastes and different
    opinions, that’s America

    1. That's very manly of Maher, and I give him credit for not wanting to lynch Rush, but he is still in the wrong, and saying he is a comedian, and not a political chicanerist, is dishonest. Did I make up that word?

  13. Alpha-bat, where did you get your numbers?

    Last year this time,

    And, from last week...

Maher is a comedian when it's convenient to say he's one.
I've seen his show before and, his political talk is serious with a smartass quip tossed in here and there.

The reason he isn't bashing Limbaugh is because they're both just entertainers working their own crowd.
And, the real kicker is that when Rush had his TV talk show, Maher was one of the regular advertisers on it back in the 90's when he was getting his start.
